Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Important matters of an image processing system carried on a car different from other image processing systems are (1) real time responsibility corresponding to a speed more than 60km/h, (2) adaptivity for environmental variety like a day and night, or a fine and rainy day. For a means that these are consistent, this report proposes a classification method using luminosity. As a result of recognition test of number plates, it was shown not only that this method takes a quarter of processing time than that of logarithm transformation, but also that it can construct a system suitable for parallel processing.
