| Abstract(in English) | A novel SDM (Space Division Multiplexed) -COFDM(Coded Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing) system, which cancels the inter-channel interference by simply multiplying the inverse propagation coefficient matrix, has been previously proposed. However, using only the multiplying type canceller, the diversity gain can't be obtained even having plural transmission and receiving antennas. In this paper, we propose a new hierarchical interference canceller which has both multiplying and subtracting type cancellers to obtain diversity gain. The proposed canceller generates the interference replicas by re-encoding and re-modulating the symbols through the multiplying type canceller. Then, the interference replicas are subtracted from the received symbols, and the subtracting type. canceller outputs are weighted by the propagation coefficient and combined. We evaluate the PER performances of the proposed herarchical interference canceller in fading environments by computer simulation. The required CNR at PER=10^<-2> in the case of the proposed hierarchical interference canceller is less than that of the multiplying type canceller by 1dB when the set of modulation scheme and coding rate is '64QAM, R=3/4.' |
