Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) This paper shows definitions of a spatial correlation and a correlation matrix in reactance-domain for ESPAR antennas. These are obtained from some signal sequences received by some beam patterns. These patterns are formed by some sets of varactor values. At first, we show that the spatial correlation of ESPAR antenna draws a similar curve to a spatial correlation of conventional DBF adaptive arrays. Next, some sets of varactor values are chosen as a correlation of received signals between ESPAR antenna and a conventional DBF array antenna becomes higher. Finally, we have confirmed that an eigen vector obtained from a correlation matrix can be used as an initial pattern in adaptive control of ESPAR antenna.
