Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) In this paper, we propose a novel pitch-synchronous auditory-based feature extraction method for ASR. The proposed Pitch-Synchronous Peak-Amplitudes (PS-PA) based method extracts features by using pitch and peak information, and frame lengths are set proportional to pitch periods. The effect of Wiener filter (WF)-based noise reduction, modulation enhancement, and auditory masking into the proposed PS-PA method are also investigated using Aurora-2J database. The highest overall avg. accuracy was achieved as 82.42% using the PS-PA method together with WF-based noise reduction, modulation enhancement, and auditory masking.
