Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) We propose a novel band pass filter using the broadside- and edge-coupled four-coupled line. The filter realizes broadband characteristics, and it can be used for new applications such as the Ultra Wide Band radio. In this report, we show logically and experimentally why this filter exhibits broadband characteristics. Fabricated filters have exhibited broadband characteristics covering the full UWB band (3.1GHz to 10.6GHz). The filter with a notch-filter rejecting 5GHz wireless LAN frequencies, is also demonstrated.
