Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) We have had many chances to use a laser pointer for indicating attention points in presentations of lectures and seminars. Some of recent laser pointers have a function not only to indicate points but also to flip electronic slides. However, these laser pointers can neither launch applications nor draw pictures. This paper proposes a new mouse system that can be moved to where we want it to move by tracking the position of the laser pointer with an internal CCD camera. The proposed system can track stably the laser pointers by fusing two different approaches : the first one is a global positioning approach that can estimate the position of laser pointer by capturing all areas of projected images, and the second one is a local approach that can make the mouse cursor follow the laser pointer by using visual feedback.
