Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Recently e-Learning systems for performing real-time and on-demand distributions are widely used in the field of education at universities because of dramatic advances in Internet technology. This paper proposes a new automatic digital content generation system for the regular classrooms. The proposed system enables to generate digital content of the lecture by a few movies from video cameras by using vectorizing the handwritten data on the blackboard, where the handwritten data are recognized as vector data by extracting curvilinear structures. The system extracts only a lecturer image by using object tracker based on subtraction algorithm. Herewith handwritten data and lecturer movie image are automatically generated as Web contents..
