Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Application-Level Multicast (ALM) protocol constructs a multicast delivery tree whose elements are only end hosts. Unlike traditional IP multicast, the non leaf nodes in the ALM tree are normal end hosts and have a possibility of leaving the multicast group. In these cases, all downstream nodes will be affected on their communication quality from the viewpoint of connectivity stability. We call this kind of tree quality "Path Stability". In this paper, we propose a new ALM protocol which achieves high "Path Stability". Simulation results in the paper show that our proposed protocol can achieve high Path Stability with limited overhead.
