The Network Architecture for Giants-Photonic Networks over several 10s Tbps

Abstract(in English) Total throughput of Japanese network will be reached to some ten Tbit/s in 2015, and it will be reached to some hundred Tbit/sec in 2020. In order to accommodate these traffic, the following technologies have to be improved drastically; i.e., (A)capacity of access network, (B)link capacity and node capacity, (C)optimization of network topology and configuration. In this paper, we will discuss the issue (C), and we present the conditions or parameters of network; for example, the number of the nodes, links or link capacity.
