Abstract(in English) In the development of the information society in recent years, a huge amount of document, the image, and information on the image overflow. The computer accumulates, displays, and classifies information that exists on Web. But, Processing that requires understanding cannot be done though information is meant while information is treated as data. The Ontology research that describes the object world under such a background is actively done. The folklore research is made electronic and it is aiming at the information sending in Kanagawa University 21st Century COE Program "Systematization of Nonwritten Clutural Materials for the Study of Human Societies". In this text, the focus is appropriated to the semantics between peculiar Context to the folklore field. In addition, the relation between the thesaurus and Ontology that specializes in the folklore field is discussed. The effectiveness of the Ontology use in folklore is described in considering the result of obtaining.
