Abstract(in English) A high-power radio frequency (RF) source with frequencies of 100 GHz band is necessary for a fusion reactor. For a stable 1 MW/CW operation, the gyrotron and test facility are under modification : an efficiency improvement of built-in mode converter, beam current and output power stabilization by pre-programed controls of a cathode heater power. By integration of the above-mentioned improvement, preliminary experiment of stable long pulse operation such as 0.2 MW/1000 sec was carried out for the 170 GHz gyrotron.
