Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Fractal geometry provides a mathematical tool for analysing and representing many complex natural phenomena or images. In particular, fractional Brownian surfaces are often used for representing mountainous scenes. But, fractional Brownian surface is a stochastic model, hence, it is not possible to interpolate control fixed points. In this report, overcoming this drawback, IFS (interated function systems) based two fractal surface interpolation methods are proposed, and compared. The first method is a purely deterministic method using IFS system. The second method is a mixture method of deterministic (IFS) and stochastic (Midpoint displacement) method.
