Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Discrete polyhedra are one of the representations of three-dimensional objects. In this research, we focus on deformation of discrete polyhedra for applications in the field of computational picture processing. Since the shape information of objects is useful for calculating their deformation, we show that shape information such as geometric and topological features of the objects is easily obtained by using the representation of discrete polyhedra. Then we also present the efficient algorithms for extracting the quantity difference of those features caused by object deformation.
