Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) In hand-written address recognition, the precision of both specifying a segmentation position of a character and recognition are not satisfactory, therefore estimating character image by post-processing technique with address dictionary is popular. For precise recognition system, it is important to compare an input image with all address candidates without discrimination. However, a large number of candidates in address dictionary cause an increase of processing time. To cope with this problem, we propose the utilization method of address dictionary to accelerate post-processing. By applying priority to candidates in address dictionary, our proposed method make it possible to decrease a large number of candidates. This paper describes the algorithm and evaluation results.
