Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) A retrieval method called Running Time Interval Clustering (Rutic) is proposed. The method is applicable to detecting a set of similar time intervals in a large amount of database of time sequence such as video and speech. The method works frame-wisely to produce a set of similar time intervals for each input frame of query time sequence. The similarity is obtained by semi-optimal non-linear matching between any part of input query and database without segmentation for both of them. Computational burden of the Rutic method is quite small so that it realizes a frame-wise and realtime spotting retrieval from a large amount of databases.
