Abstract(in English) | In this paper, we propose a novel object recognition method named kernel mutual subspace method (KSM). Mutual subspace method (MSM) proposed by Maeda, et. al. is a powerful method for facial image recognition. However, the recognition accuracy of MSM method degraded when the data distribution is nonlinear. To overcome the shortcoming, we applie kernel principal component analysis to mutual subspace method. We describe the novel object recognition method from the theoretical aspect. Then, We show some preliminary experimental result of facial image recognition. |
