Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) This paper presents a representation and retrieval method of video sequence based on domain-specific behavior descriptions of objects in the scenes. The proposed descriptions comprise three parts; action description, which represents the action performed by a single object, interaction description, which corresponds to the complex actions done by multiple objects, and event profile, which defines the matching conditions for each retrieval keyword. We apply these descriptions to a soccer video and a human surveillance video and show their practicability on different domains. Also, we develop the content retrieval system using the proposed descriptions, and verify their usefulness as indices for content retrieval providing specific video scenes.
