Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) The standpoint of our research is to discover unknown important physical factors to reproduce the tone quality of the high order sensations. We have found that the jitter is a major deterioration factor to reproduce the high order sensations. In this paper, we have forcibly added jitters (peak-to-peak ± 88.6ps and 2Hz sinusoidal) to a bit stream of digital audio interface, and we have carried out a subjective assessment test focusing on the reproduction of high order sensations. As a result, we have found that the reproduction of high order sensations is largely deteriorated, even through in a case of a added jitter amplitude was as small as peak-to-peak ± 88.6ps. Furthermore, we have quantitatively measured the influence of forcibly added jitters directly measuring an analog output signal of CD player.
