Log Analysis of User Access Patterns on a Web Search Server

Abstract(in English) We have discovered a conspicuous relation between the number of visitors (n) and the number of pages accessed n times, by analyzing user access patterns to a Web search server. This relation is described by the Power law distribution (expressed as y=a/x^<-b>), in cases where there are a significantly large number of registered pages. However, this distribution is affected by declining number of registered pages. Moreover, we further discovered that, the distribution resulted from reversing the independent variable and dependent variable, is not visually affected by changing the user sample size.
