Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) This paper proposes a scalable IP-QoS traffic engineering system architecture using MPLS/DiffServ functionality and describes its implementation on PC-UNIX. In this system, the QoS is controlled using MPLS based routing and DiffServ based traffic management. A QoS path is calculated by QoS-extended OSPF; QOSPF. The setup and the calculation of a QoS path are performed in a distributed manner. Policy/QoS Server is introduced in order to manage SLAs with network users and to issue QoS path setup requests to routers in the network. The paper also reports the performance evaluation of this system to illustrate the performance characteristic of each function.
