| 抄録(和) | 日常社会において人間は知らず知らずのうちにジェスチャをし、言語以上に意思を伝達することがよくある。人間は言語以外にも種々のコミュニケーション手段を持っており、それらが機能的に大きな役割を担っている。従来の機械とのインターフェースはマウスやキーボードといった装置しか利用できず、インタラクションの度合いが弱く円滑なコミュニケーションは期待できない。人間と機械の間にはジェスチャや発話、表情のような直接的で自然なインターフェースを提供する必要がある。本論文ではジェスチャ認識に焦点を当てて、我々のグループで行った研究を中心に他の研究との関連を交えながら述べていく。 |
| 抄録(英) | Recognition of human expressions is necessary for human-computer interactive applications. Human gesture is one of the typical methods of nonverbal communication for human beings and we naturally use various gestures to express our own intentions in everyday life. A vision system is suitable for recognition of human expressions since this involves passive sensing and the human gestures can be recognized without any discomfort for the user. This paper describes the work on human-computer interaction in our laboratories. |
