Abstract(in English) | In this paper, we proposed a pseudo shadow algorithm for realistic hair rendering. The pseudo shadow algorithm is a probabilistic model to generate shadow based on the amount of light reaching the hair fragment. We construct a visible volume buffer to measure the amount of light reaching the hair fragment. The shadow generated by this process not only gives the hair model a three dimensional look but increases the realism of the hair model. The pseudo shadow algorithm is also computationately more efficient than traditional shadow algorithm. |
