Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) In recent years, importance of building a database of urban information has been growing. In this paper, we propose an efficient structure of distributed urban information database system using LDAP (Lightweight Directory Access Protocol), which is a directory service that runs over the Internet, as a core of database management, and describe a result of prototype system. The prototype urban information database system consists of data provider and management site. Management site manages the distributed database provided by several data providers uniformly. As a result of prototype system, we found that management of a distributed urban information database was effective for users and providers.
