Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Two perspectives exist on advantages of the software component technology. One advantage is that the technology allows us to make reusable components and to develop systems rapidly by assembling such components. It is the perspective of synthesis of a system from components. The other is the perspective of decomposition of a system into components. The former has been mentioned generally, and the latter was gained by the authors during a development of an embedded software. In this paper, the two perspectives are described, and advantages and disadvantages of the technology are discussed in both perspectives.
