Abstract(in English) The Ag/CdO12wt% contacts mounted on a small electromagnetic relay are tested in a dc30V-10A resistive circuit as the make-only-contacts and the break-only-contacts. In this experience, we measured some electrical characteristics of make-only-contacts and break-only-contacts and observed the shape of contact surfaces. Transferred pip grew on make-only-contacts and black film was observed on break-only-contacts. There is a close relation among these phenomenon and arc duration, arc energy, number of bounce, and contact resistance changed with the arc discharge. Sticking has welding and locking. We thought they don't occur by oneself and the sticking occurs when the total force of welding and locking are above the opening force.
