Spectroscopic Temperature Measurement of Breaking Arc between Copper Electrical Contacts

Abstract(in English) Spectral intensity of breaking arc is measured to research arc temperature. Many spectral data of breaking arc between copper electrical contacts are measured with varying source voltage, break current and velocity of breaking contacts. The arc temperature is determined by Boltzmann plot of measured data.Arc temperatures and these waveforms resemble closely, even if the experimental conditions are changed. The time at transferring from metallic phase arc to gaseous phase arc is nearly the time at changing arc impedance.As a result, it seemed that transfer from metallic phase arc to gaseous phase arc effects temperature of breaking arc between copper electrical contacts.
