Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) In order for the speech recognition system to have a high performance in noisy environment, wide-band directional microphone system to ensure high S/N is required. A sharp directional function proposed in this paper is derived by using Fourier series approximation, in which the concept is based on uni-directional function of 3 microphones-integration method. And then, a microphone system of wide-band directivity is shown. This system is composed of five non-directional microphones and analog electronic circuits. Finally, by the numerical results and simulation results, this system is comfirmed to have sharp directivity in a wide frequency-band from 300H_z to 5kH_z, required for speech recognition.
