Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Special perception can be synthesized using head related transfer functions. However, in the real 3-D audio applications using HRTF_s, it is necessary to choose suitable HRTF for listners either with a small number of measurement or without measurement in the system using the HRTF_s. In this paper, the generalized HRTF_s are generated with the clustering method. Seventy-six subjects' HRTF_s are classified into eight clusters with an azimuth imformation and we regard the centroid in each cluster as the generalized HRTF_s. The performances of the generalized HRTF_s are evaluated by objevtive and subjetive tests. The results clarify that the centroid can be regarded as the generalized HRTF and there is no difference between the generalized and the measured HRTF_s.
