Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) A model is proposed to calculate noise reduction by housing with opened window. The noise reduction is expressed by a simple formula which depends on angle of incidence, opening area of window and absorption coefficient of room surface. The formula is extend to cover the closed Window by considering TL of the window. The estimated value of noise reduction by typical Japanese housing is about 10 dB when the window opens and is about 25dB when it closes. The frequency distribution of noise reduction by housing with opened or closed window is also given by computer simulation. These results are in good agreement with the measured ones.
