Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) The normalized least mean square (NLMS) algorithm is well known as an adaptive algorithm suitable for acoustic echo canceller systems using speech signal as the reference signal. The NLMS algorithm, on the other hand, degrades the convergence rate where the reference signal is colored as the speech signal. The basic means to prevent the degradation is to remove the correlative components from the colored reference signal. The simplest way of removing the components is to apply the linear prediction technique to the adaptive algorithm. This paper applies the technique of the fundamental equation in the unorthodox interpretation of the adaptive algorithm, and then derives new adaptive algorithms whose convergence property is thereby improved. Simulations using real speech signal show that the new algorithms improve the convergence property compared to the conventional algorithm.
