Abstract(in English) This paper proposed a fast transmit power control (TPC) scheme using 2-step outer loop in reverse link site diversity between cells for W-CDMA mobile radio. The first outer loop compensates the target E_b/I_0 based on the FER measurement results before site diversity combining at each base station (BS) for tracking fast variation of propagation channel. The second pouter loop compensates the target FER before combing at each BS based on the final FER measurement after site diversity combining at radio network controller. The experimental results using fading simulator showed that measured FER after site diversity combining between 2-cell was controlled to be equal to the prescribed target value of 1 % over the wide range of f_D from 5 to 800Hz, while the measured FER berore combining varies from 4 to 20 %.
