Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) This paper evaluated the effects of the reverse link site diversity between sectors in laboratory experiments for W-CDMA mobile radio. We found from the experimental results that the required MS average transmit E_b/N_0 for the average BER of 10^<-3> using site diversity between 2-sectors can be decreased by about 1.5 dB compared to the case using site diversity between 2-cell site when the path loss difference of 2 BS and MS, Δ_<12>=0 dB. We verified the effect of outer loop for controlling the target E_b/I_0 and showed that the required MS average transmit E_b/N_0 for the average FER of 10^<-2> is decreased by approximately 2.0 dB compared to no site diversity case when the outer loop control was applied.
