Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) A new national R&D project started aiming novel communication systems using a number of large airships of 20km height or stratospheric platforms. This paper proposes (1) observation of seisimo-electromagnetics and (2) IMT-2000 mobile telephone service for the missions. A conceptual design case study for a mobile telephone system has been described, and a service area as large as 115 km radius of the system from a platform placed on the epicenter of famous "Matsushiro Swarm Earthquake" has been shown on numerical map. The propagation parameters used for the design are statistically calculated from the measured electric fielded intensities from cdmaOne base stations in Nagano city. From the received signal strength of lognormarl distribution, the averaged cell radius and span loss are set.
