Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) In micro-cellular systems such as PHS, reuse pattern design in Fixed Channel Assignment becomes difficult, since propagation conditions are seriously affected by surroundings. Therefore, some Distributed Dynamic Channel Assignment (DCA) methods have been proposed. Beam tilting and adaptive array are known as antenna techniques to increase frequency utilization efficiency by supressing co-channel interference. In this paper, we evaluate performance of some distributed DCA methods in cellular systems using beam tilting and adaptive array at base stations. The performance is evaluated according to the number of wire-line circuits at a base station. Computer simulation results show that beam tilting and adaptive array improve interference rate performance regardless of the number of wire-line circuits and improve blocking rate performance in the case where a base station has many wire-line circuits. When an adaptive array antenna is installed at about one half of base stations, interference rate performance is not greatly improved.
