| Abstract(in English) | This report discusses cryptanalysis of M8, which is an encryption algorithm registered in ISO9979 (No.20). In the last report, we discuss security of M8 against differential cryptanalysis, linear cryptanalysis and mod n cryptanalysis, respectively. As a result, we show that there exist differential and linear characteristics that hold with probability 1 and modulus n whose bias is remarkably high. In this report, we show the empirical distribution of the difference between cipher-text and plane-text on Mini-M8, which block size is downsized from 64 bits to 16 bits. |
