Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Noises of oscillators, as well as mixers and switched capacitor networks, can be calculated using linear periodic time-varying (LPTV) transfer functions from each noise source to an output. However, for the case of oscillators, calculation of LPTV transfer function has serious numerical problem. The condition number of the system matrix increases for oscillators, because an eigenvalue corresponding to the oscillation becomes very small as compared with other eigenvalues when off set frequencies are small. This paper proposes a solution using spectral decomposition technique. A mode corresponding to the oscillation and the rest of the modes are decomposed by using Floquet theory for LPTV systems. The proposed method is verified by simulation using van der Pol oscillator.
