Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) In this article, we consider communication schemes with constant amplitude trasmitted signals for digital data transmission using chaotic synchronization. We propose a scheme which employs pulse width modulation (PWM) with discrete-time chaos singnals to make the envelope of transmitted signals constant. First, it is shown that the error probability of the system using the PWM signal is superior to that of the PAM signal since the magnitude of the signal component at the correlator output for PWM signals is constant. Next performance comparison between the scheme using chaotic synchronization and DCSK which does not use chaotic synchronization is carried out in the presence of additive noise. It is shown by computer simulation that the scheme using chaotic synchronization provides better results. Moreover, in the presence of multipath interference, it is shown that the influence of the interference can be reduced by using CMA (Constant Modulus Algorithm).
