Abstract(in Japanese) | (See Japanese page) |
Abstract(in English) | The surge in the Internet traffic and mobile telecommunication traffic impacts the current telecommunication network architecture based on a fixed telephone network. Different types of traffic streams routing by different routing technologies; such as topology driven routing protocols, event driven signaling protocols; are accommodated by respective networks up to the present. Next Generation Network in the shape of information infrastructure, however, requires converged transfer and routing of different traffic types. From a viewpoint of the keyword i.e., "Convergence", the author presents an overview of technologies and markets on Next Generation Network and then proposes Next Generation Network Architecture which integrates and efficiently handles IP / STM / ATM. |
