Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) The recent dramatic increase in data communication traffic is reversing the ratio of voice traffic to data traffic within the year 2000. To provide for the further increases of data traffic and diversity of the multimedia services, the core-network architecture for the next generation network had been studied in several organization such as the Multiservice Switching Forum(MSF). In this paper, we discuss the call control signaling based on Capability Set 2(CS2)requirements for Bearer Independent Call Control(BICC). The BICC protocol is supposed to be the candidate protocol for the interface between peer Media Gate Way(MGC), which includes call control function, in the architecture discussed in the MSF. We present the "Call set-up procedure for the IP bearer based network" and "Consistency with H.248" in particular.
