Abstract(in English) | The recent rapid increase in optical fiber communication traffic has created a strong demand for high-speed DFB/MODs covering the expanding wavelength range of the dense wavelength division multiplexing (DWDM) systems. We have developed simultaneous fabrication technique of different-wavelength DFB/MODs on a single wafer using EB-lithography grating and narrow-stripe selective MOVPE technique. Fabricated DFB/MODs showed well-controlled wavelength distribution with uniform L-I characteristics and high-speed operability. L-band transmissions at 2.5 Gb/s over 600-km SMF and 10 Gb/s over 1000-ps/nm dispersion were successfully demonstrated. |
