Abstract(in Japanese) | (See Japanese page) |
Abstract(in English) | We propose and demonstrate a novel waveform reshaping by injection locking of a distributed feedback laser diode. An output signal of a laser is converted to a frequency-modulated one by injection locking. After, it is converted to intensity-modulated signal by optical filtering. We could successfully convert a distorted signal to a reshaped square signal at 100Mbit/s. We found that the factor limiting the speed is the effect of relaxation oscillation in the slave laser, which can be minimized by proper conditions. |
