Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Nonlinear optics is considerably studied for the application to all-optical signal processing. Some reports have been published concerning the application of optical waveguides with grating structure including nonlinear dielectric layers for the second-harmonic generation or a spacial optical switch. We have simulated the propagation of light wave in nonlilinear dielectric waveguide with rectangular grating structure by making use of Finite-Difference Time-Domain (FDTD) method. The radiation pattern, radiation intensity of the fundamental and second-harmonic frequency, and the radiation angle are demonstrated.
