Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) A simple fiber selection algorithm that enables cost-effective and efficient fiber use is indispensable to provide a wide variety of broadband services. The improvement of cable and network elements, and contrivance of design methods in feeder networks have been done to reduce the cost and to use the elements efficiently, while the fiber selection algorithm has not been studied sufficiently. This paper marshals the fiber selection requirement and proposes the algorithm to achieve cost reductive and efficient use of elements. A simulation of the algorithm resulted in 43.1% reduction of DB access.
