| Abstract(in English) | In this report, we summarized the papers presented in the 1999 Euro Display (The 19th International Display Research Conference), with a main focus to the passive LCDs. It should be noted that the focus has shirted to static displays, where an image is displayed over a long period of time without refreshing. Out of 13 presentations related to passive LCDs, as many as 9 articles were related to static displays using bistable TN, ferro-electric LCDs, or cholesteric LCDs. |
