Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) A sophisticated signal processing unit suitable for a full Hi-Vision PDP which has 1920 × 1080 (× RGB) pixels, or whole pixels of Hi-Vision (HDTV), has been developed and displaying experiments were performed combining with the full-PDP. The unit is constructed using the signal processing LSIs developed for "Hi-Vision PDP Nagano Model". The unit includes processings of deinterlacing with an improved motion detection, 2-dimensional image enhancer and so on. As the result, The unit showed much better picture quality than a conventional signal processing unit The full displaying of Hi-Vision by sophisticated signal processings and full Hi-Vision PDPs is considered as an ideal displaying method in the era of digital Hi-Vision.
