Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Biological effects of ELF magnetic field on goldfish were examined. When 50 Hz, 62 mT magnetic field was exposed, urine doses in goldfish increased remarkably from 20 hrs later compared with sham exposed controls. This phenomenon could not observe within 20 hrs ELF magnetic field exposure. Furthermore, the urine dose of goldfish the exposed by the ELF magnetic field recovered to the normal level after about one week. When the intensity of exposed magnetic field were degraded from 62 mT to 5 mT, the urine dose change disappeared in 5 mT magnetic field exposure. From these results, it was found that the ELF magnetic field exposure might be a temporary stress factor against goldfish and the threshold of magnetic field intensity in this phenomenon located between 5 mT and 10 mT.
