Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Although haptic demonstration is an important element in telemedicine systems and VR medical applications, its user characteristics to delayed haptic response has not been investigated yet. To determine the acceptable delay of data transfer in haptic interface environment, we constructed three patterns of delay models and propose a psychological assessment from a haptic user's point of view. A preliminary psychological experiment was performed in this study.
