Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) We propose a new method of ultrasound image transmissionm for tele-diagnosis. In conventional methods, video image signals have been transmitted. In our method, the RF (Radio Frequency) signals which are acquired by ultrasound probe is transmitted. The RF signals can be transformed to color Doppler images or high resolution images by receiver. In this paper, we describe a loss-less compression method which is specialized in transmission of the RF signals. As the result of evaluation, the method achieved compression ratio of 13 % in 8 bit data, 26 % in 12 bit data.
