Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) For those who become blind in the middle of life, to master reading Braille is very hard, while, many of them can easily learn writing it. It is believed that, in an early stage of practising Braille recognition by tactile sensation, to use large size Braille is more effective than to use that of standard size. Neverthless, to prepare text with large size Braille is very difficult, since ordinary Braille printers can produce only Braille of standard size. To overcome this situation, we have developed, in this reserch, a variable size Braille printing system, which can produce Braille of any size according to the initial set up for radius of a Braille point and spaces between points.
