| Abstract(in English) | Recently, most of large offices, campus classrooms, conference registration are equipped with wiring for conventional LANs, and the inclusion of distributed high-speed wireless LAN (WLAN) in the planning of a large new office building is done as a standard procedure, along with planning for telephone and other different wireless media. We have developed the self-training method consisting of on-line teaching materials named MELSoNE (Multimedia Education and Learning System on Network Environment) in such multimedia communication systems. In this paper, we first introduce Konan's information network environment integrated wireless LAN and a multimedia communication system for education and training. We then present the framework of MELSoNE system design on information network environment and its application. Finally, we examine the influence of MELSoNE system applied to the education and training, and give some comments to explain how to improve teaching and training methods and teaching materials to advantage educational effectiveness in future. |
